Honestly i dont think any one person should "organize" it. If something goes wrong, then organizer will be held which is un-necessary trouble for some one wanting to do good!

I did try to talk to customer care but it was of no help.
They tell me to wait for 30 days and sometime 60-90days.
They say you will become actual permanent resident when you get the card The card is important.
You now USCIS don�t know when they will change their minds.
To better be on safe side to get it stamped on my passport. I took info pass on 09-11-08 it will be almost 30 days,

Current Status: My case was approved and card production ordered on August 14, 2008 (got the email from CRIS) and still waiting for my spouse's EAD approval.

Is July 08, 2008 also the Notice Date on your receipt notice? I'm wondering if generally there is one more LUD after the notice date and before the approval, when they pull the file off the shelf and start working on the case.

You are still thinking about all the job crap and call. Are you some kind of a retard? Holy shit. What more meets the eye man? He might not be around after sometime. Instead of this bullshit, his priority must be to get better and spend time with family and friends. We dont know how things will be after 6 months. What I find retarded is that this crap green card seems to be taking higher position than him getting better.
To the original poster: Please realize that there is nothing more beautiful than life. Every minute of it is of the essence. Family and loved ones are more important than anything in life. You will not take money, green card or anything after you die. Your wife will be more happy realizing that she spent some fantastic time with you. I wish and pray that you get better. Just junk this immigration shit, go back home, take a second opinion and get better. I am enraged.
We Indians deserve to be waiting forever without Greencard.
This is why EB3 Indiots will be waiting forever for their greencard. We Indians come to USA and still behave like the pictures in these links. We throw sh** on the forum and criticize each other. Hi Maag,
I did not land yet. Planning to give away canada PR. Its too much of risk being on AP/EAD. I have too many things on stake in US like Home, Nice Jobs for me and my wife..don't want to risk all that.
As it is i don't think I will ever settle in Canada, i had applied at a time when my US labor was stuck in backlog for almost 5 years but now things have changed and if i ever have to leave US I think I will go back to my home country; as it is after being here for 8 years I don't have energy to start all over again in some new country.
What have you decided? do you know the procedure to get landing fee back?
I am also giving up canada PR, i had also applied at the time my green card process was not moving, also i don't have any job offer as of now in canada, i don't want to leave what's in hand in hope of something similar (can't say better). I don't know procedure to get landing fees back and will soon be working on that.

I have mulled over different options in my head for a long time. Here are some things I came up with:
- switch to a part time H1 (and do something else in your free time that you might find a little more fulfilling, i.e enrolling in PT grad program, starting a business (which you CAN do on an H1!!!), travel!!). I know there is the money factor but most of us are IT people and hopefully taking a cut will be worth the improved life.
- begin your Canadian PR process. This takes a lot less time and honestly, I think Canadians are more cultured anyway. Leave these people to their Paris and Nicoles :)

I have no problem with porting, but the priority date should be starting from when they acquired required qualifications for the job.
Example, if someone with B.S and 2 years experience had applied in EB3 in 2005 and tries to port now I think it is fair to have the ported PD not in 2005, but 2008 when the person acquired B.S + 5 years experience.
This would automatically address all those folks who deserved to be in EB2 but couldnt either becuase lawyer screwed up or issues with sponsoring company.

USCIS will consolidate FPs for 485 and EADs. So if we don't receive biometrics for 485, hopefully we will get one for EAD renewal which will also serve the purpose for 485 processing.
Note: This only applies to concurrent filers of 485 and EAD.
